Southwest Airlines’ Rapid Rewards Program
Every airline has some sort of frequent flyers program. The one from Southwest Airlines is called Rapid Rewards. For some unknown reasons, the rules for earning points, keeping points, and spending points differ quite a bit from other frequent flyer programs.
Earning Points
You can earn points by flying Southwest, by using the Southwest credit card, and through Southwest partners.

Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Plus Card with TWO free round trips!
Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Plus card is offering 50,000 Bonus Points after your first purchase. This can be redeemed for 2 free round trip tickets. More details about the Southwest Rapid Rewards Program here.
The annual fee is NOT waived and will be $69 a year. One heck of a low price for the flights.

25k Free United Miles via the New United MileagePlus Explorer Card
Chase has replaced the old MileagePlus Signature Card with the United MileagePlus Explorer Card. This card is arguably better than the earlier card because of the additional perks.
- 25,000 United Miles after first use
- 5,000 additional miles for adding an authorized user
- 10,000 additional miles if you spend $25,000 or more for each year
- 2 passes to airport lounges (per year) for United or Continental Airlines
- 1 free checked luggage every time you fly United or Continental
